"What if gym leaders and other important trainers reacted to your Pokemon?"

Now I'm sure most of us know about how Leon reacts to us using eternatus in his battle for becoming champion, but what if other characters did this? What if your rival reacted to you having your starter evolved before his? What about the gym leaders seeing you use their ace Pokemon? I feel there are a lot of possibilities in this.
