#PokemonGO: Niantic has announced they are reverting the immensely beloved feature of extended distance to stops/gyms. A reversion akin to cutting the wings off of those who’ve gotten used to the sky. The game will become far more painful to play for so many if they go through with it. Why are they doing this?Simple.They are not.Eventually they will declare they are keeping it after all: to the colossal relief of everyone. People will rejoice. People will thank them. People will praise it as the right move. Any ill reputation they may have had because of the horrid state of the game recently will be washed away. I am not one for paranoia, but nor do I fancy a billion dollar corporation being beneath mind games for profit. The whole of pokemon go is structured as a mind game for profit after all. It’s not even a controversial secret.It’s a tale as old as time. Announce something you know will be unpopular.
