"What was a "playground myth" spread around from your childhood about Pokemon?"

I'm asking for something either uncommonly heard of, or just from your childhood specifically. During Gen II, there was a rumor that if you leveled up Ho-Oh to level 100 it would learn a move called "Rainbow" that you could use outside of battle and you'd receive 100+ Rare Candies as well access to other legendary Pokemon.
