If being a Gym Leader is about being the strongest trainer that specializes in one type, Gym Leaders would display strategy that we wouldn't see in the Pokémon games, such as changing the weather, terrain, inflicting status conditions, swapping held items, or creating barriers to protect and bring advantage to their team.
