"After playing BDSP, Sword/Shield feel very basic"

After playing BDSP I've remembered how complex regions can be and how genuinely fun they are to explore - Sinnoh felt like a real adventure, Galar felt like a guided tour.Sword and Shield were incredibly linear - every route was essentially a hallway, and with no HM checks there also felt like no reason to return to the routes to find hidden items afterwards. The caves aren't simply named "Sinnoh Cave 1 and Sinnoh Cave 2" and you can genuinely get lost in them. Infiltrating the Galactic HQ in Veilstone was a lot of fun, as opposed to a short elevator ride up Rose Tower in Sword/Shield. Honestly after playing BDSP I don't think I'm going to be able to return to Sword/Shield.Apart from the really great wild areas they added with the DLC, Sword/Shield feel pretty basic when stacked up against other games. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/30Ww6Xb
