"I have to be honest, BDSP is a remaster and it made me actually be grateful for Gamefreak's previous remakes"

Spoilers ahead, i will talk about the elite four, you have been warned!So yeah, i just arrived at the elite four and holy shit...it hit me so hard. I was reminded of the amazing presentation of the elite four in ORAS where each elite four had this incredible arena and chamber and every fight start would put these shadows as intros, it was magical. The Elite Four in BDSP however...? yikes.ORAS and SSHG took a base and enhanced it for the better, but BDSP took a DS game and made it HD without even trying to enhance anything, in fact it made things worse. The movement is clunky and you have already seen posts saying how the collision is awful. The friendship system breaks the game, the EXP share is not optional, the Fairies are in so the "faithful remake" bullshit is out of the window. There's many more things that aren't working correctly (like Wish in online battles and other shit, but that's for another thread).But really, it's when i hit the elite four that i realized just how harsh i've been toward Gamefreak, and how my adventure has been very anti-climatic and not memorable. Yes Pokemon deserves better, we should be asking for better, but holy shit my entire BDSP adventure was anti-climatic when i think about the SwSh gyms, when i think about Team Plasma showdown with the gym leaders in BW, when i think about Ultra Necrozma in Alola, when i recall the joy i had with the islands in FRLG etc...Pokemon games are always enjoyable, but the treatment of this so called "remake" (which i think is a remaster) is souless, without passion, without any attempt at making things better visually or mechanically. It's a good game and i don't regret buying or playing it, but this is for me the lowest of the low we've got in terms of Pokemon content and made me realize that even what Gamefreak has been giving us, is way above.
