"Does the forced Exp. All trivialise Magikarp?"

I'm not totally against the Exp. All in the newer games, although I would love the option to turn it off. I recognise that it cuts down on grinding and makes the game more accessible. However, it occurred to me that it kind of trivialises the gimmick of Magikarp. It used to be that you got this pretty useless fish at level 5, and you slowly and painstakingly raised it by putting it at the front of your party then switching, meaning that the Pokémon you switched to had to take an extra hit.Eventually, you were rewarded for your patience and hard work with a mighty Gyarados, and it was all worthwhile. But now, Magikarp can just sit at the bottom of your party for a while, do nothing, not cause any problems, and you still get a Gyarados. Is this weird to anyone else? via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3nur1gE
