"Ice type needs the same treatment Gen 5 gave Bug type."
In gens 1-4, bug types were just sad. They were overwhelmingly useless, and the few usable bug types were only good because of a secondary typing that carried all the weight. It was so bad that the only Bug specialist elite four member's ace wasn't even a bug type. Then Gen 5 came along and Bugs were now treated as a legitimate type.Instead of a bunch of worthless bugs early game and maybe one useable bug late game, there were bug types throughout the whole game, and most if not all of them were usable throughout the entire game. And this pattern held in future generations. Golisopod, Araquanid, Centiscorch, Orbeetle, ect. After Gen 5, some of the best designs in the series have been bug type.Bug is finally at a point where someone can say their favorite type is bug without having to add a disclaimer that they know they type is garbage.Next generation, Ice needs that treatment.Like Bug, ice is a type with a lot of inherent weaknesses. That means it needs better Pokemon to really shine.Instead it has a few good mons, usually locked to the very end of the game, and a lot of mediocre mons.We need a region full of new Ice pokemon. They need to be available at almost every stage of the game, and all of them need to be usable throughout the whole game.TLDR: Gen 5 made bug types not suck, we need a generation that does that for Ice types. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3fsYQKq
