"Your Mom as the professor"

Wouldn't it be cool for your Mom to be the professor in pokemon 10, it would make alot more sense why The Professor decides to give you a starter and not anyone else, also it would be a cool callback to gen 1 when your Rival is the grandson of the professor, it is a grandson and not a son but the reference would still be there, and it would be cool if the rival take place of Red actually while you take the place of the Rival from Kanto. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/WyHqDYA
