"How spoofers can enter private raid lobbies and what you can do to prevent them from participating in your raid."

#PokemonGO: I'm sure everyone of you is familiar with the way private lobbies work in raids. What is less commonly known, is the way how you can enter private lobbies without anyone actually telling you what the code is. Since this knowledge seems to be more and more spread between spoofers, I'll explain one potential way around it, and how the simple exploit works. How it works:When you create a private lobby, you're given a code of three random pokemon. The idea is that you're the only one knowing the code and the only people who can join are the people you physically show/tell the code to.Problem: When you create a second private lobby, it will have the same exact code, only the last part of the code changes to the next pokemon. This is what the pokemon matrix looks like. Imagine opening a private lobby and you're given the code "squirtle squirte charmander" which would be equivalent of 223. The next person to open a private lobby will be given the code "squirtle squirtle pikachu" (224). It's just counting in base 9.You see where this is going. A spoofer can create a private lobby beforehand, adjust the code and easily get to know your code. Even if you open a new lobby, he can guess the lobby again, since he always has two minutes to do it.Easy way around it:Once you realized there's a spoofer in your lobby there's an easy way around it. Create two or three private lobbies simultaneosly. Choose one of those lobbies and tell everyone which the chosen lobby code is. The spoofer can only choose one lobby. Once the timer hits 30s or so, everyone quickly join the chosen lobby. There's a good chance the spoofer won't hit the right lobby in time. Enjoy your spoof free lobby. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2ns4l0P
