"i just can't get through Shining Pearl!!"

i was so looking forward to these remakes because gen iv was the last generation i REALLY grew up with and have big nostalgia for, yet it is the one i have replayed the least out of those first four generations. during promotions, i thought the art style was over-hated and was still very excited to get the game. i got it on launch weekend and i just ... have not made it that far 😭 every time i open it i get bored. but i LOVE all of the other switch games! i've played and replayed let's go. i sunk tons of time into Shield. Legends is my 2nd most-played switch game and i completed a pokedex for the for the first time since emerald in 2005. Violet, i fell off after beating the E4 but i had TONS of fun with it and enjoyed exploring and building my team. i just can't articulate what's not clicking for me with the gen iv remakes! gonna try and pick them up again this morning maybe. might even start over bc i'm just not that far in and it might get me excited for it. but idk! the remakes are always a hit for me but i'm struggling to really connect with these ones.. maybe it's the design maybe it's the movement maybe it's the battle pacing? i really have no idea but it's frustrating because i wanted to love these games via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/LpvsSOq
