"Why can't the Ingress compass be used in PoGo?"
#PokemonGO: Even before the three step bug, everyone I met complained about the compass system. 1 print meant it was nearby maybe, two prints meant vicinity, and three meant anywhere from Alaska to Zimbabwe.Someone on this forum reccomended Ingress to help. Yesterday while we were all wandering around in circles hoping to luck into a Dratini, I found myself constantly switching to Ingress. I could never use it to find Pokemon, but it's compass was amazing.Niantics Ingress compass is insane. It's so intuitive it can differentiate between what direction you're facing and what direction you're walking.Bug or no bug, the problem with PoGo's compass is it takes away the hunt aspect. It's less about tracking something down and more about hoping to luck into a spawn point at the spawning time. The Dratini park is essentially a circle, so there we all were, wandering around in a circle just hoping we were at the right point at the right time when something spawned.By contrast, in the ingress app, there was something fun about following that compass and seeing something actually get done.So my question is, if Niantic has the technology for such an effective compass, why not use it in PoGo? If you select a Pokemon, you could have the compass to guide you. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2adg4ds
