"[Discussion] Are we REALLY okay with 4 updates a year?"

#PokemonGO: OK, since the release of Gen 2, Niantic decided they will have important updates 4 times a year, so every 3 months. That's insanely low for a mobile game that needs to keep it's userbase engaged! Around the time I started playing PoGo I was also playing Mobius FF and when you compare both the differences in update frequency a huge! Every month they release an update schedule that has at least 3 or 4 updates with hours of quality content, new characters, etc. That's around 12 times more updates than here! (and I hate that game) This game was released in a pre-beta state, now it's still beta to me (a LOT of the trailer content isn't here, and still lots of bugs), and we're getting one update every three months? They have the resources, with an estimated daily income of more than $270.000 they can be better than that, they can hire and produce more content. As a consumer we have to demand quality from the products we consume, even if they're free. Especially if the producer has the means to do so.TL;DR: It isn't okay to have one update every three months with the current state of the game and the resources Niantic has.EDIT: Text and self-stupidity fixes via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2nXw9tQ
