"A word on Pokédex completion, and a question for the future."

#PokemonGO: I find myself nearing Pokédex completion, at 119 currently. Of the remaining Pokémon, I can evolve the remainder simply through the buddy system and random catches, and a few lucky egg hatches. Being this close is a great feeling, but I cannot help but wonder what will become of the game for me when I do reach 142. Traveling to other countries to obtain the three regional exclusives is simply not an option, so unless trading can be done from anywhere in the world, I have to accept that I will not obtain these few.So the question is, what do I do once I finish out the Pokédex? My town has a single gym, which my team has held for over a month now, and gym battling does not interest me. Leveling further is also uninteresting to me, as I am level 24, and the grind is getting to be unenjoyable.With winter fast approaching, and temperatures falling in the Midwest, I find that walking about town will become less appealing.What do you fellow travelers do to keep the game engaging when you're beginning to stagnate?
