"Best attackers against defends with double weaknesses to a single attack"

#PokemonGO: In another thread, it came up that "Super Effective" bonuses and STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus - if a water pokemon uses a water attack, it gets a 1.25x damage multiplier bonus for the attack) multiply together. And even better if a defending pokemon is dual typed and both are weak to a certain attack, you get twice the 1.25x Super Effective bonuses plus 1.25x STAB bonus for almost 2x total bonus (1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 = 1.95).This inspired me to go and find the most common dual type defending pokemon that are vulnerable to 1.95x Super Super Effective STAB attacks, what are the best moveset, and which pokemon can use them.Best move set against:Gyarados (Water/Flying):Vulnerable to ElectricSpark/Thunder (Thunderbolt is a close second)Only Raichu has my prefered move set of Spark/ThunderVoltorb, Electrode, and Magnemite (but not Magneton) have the next best Spark/Thunderbolt. Thunderblot is good because the animation is fast so that you can often deploy it after dodging a charge move and still dodge the next fast attackThundershock/Thunder is also pretty good and many pokemon have it including: Pikachu, Raichu, Jolteon and Electabuzz. I like Spark better as the fast move because it deals more damage, but Thunder Shock does charge significantly fast so if your defender has a 1-bar charge attack, you will likely get to use yours before they do. Also, both Spark and Thunder shock have about the same animation speed so getting 2-3 in per dodge is not hard with practice.Exeggutor (Grass/Psychic):Double weakness to Bug attacks and the best bug combination is Bug Bite/MegahornNo Pokemon has this combination, so the next best is Bug Bite/Bug BuzzVenomoth and Butterfree both have this combo, But Venomoth as Bug/Poison type is weak to Psychic attacks and both Exeggutor fast attacks are Psychic and heavy hitters (12 damage x STAB x Super Effective). If you are a good dodger, then you have probably beat a 2x CP Exeggutor most of the time.Next best is Scyther with Fury Cutter/Bug BuzzSome like X-Scissor, which is a slight drop in DPS and less total damage, because they can dodge quick attacks like Confusion while using it. I can't reliably dodge more than half of the attacks, so I like the bigger damage of Bug BuzzGolem or Rhydon (Ground/Rock)Double weakness against Water and Grass.Grass: Vine Whip/Solar Beam - I know Power Whip has a little more DPS, but it's a one bar move like Solar and about half of the Solar Beam damage. Razor grass is about the same DPS and Vine Whip, but takes twice as long to cast (for twice the damage). But I can usually get 2-3 Vine whips in between dodges but can only do one Razor Grass, advantage Vine Whip.Pokemon with Vine Whip/Solar Beam: Tangela, Ivysaur, VenosaurRock/Ground is also double weak against Water, with the best Water Attack: Water Gun/Hydro PumpPokemon with this possible moveset :Wartotle, Blastoise, Golduck, Starmie, Omastar, Seadra, Vaporeon (duh)Dragonite (Flying/Dragon):Double weak against Ice and the best ice combo for attack is Frost Breath/BlizzardLapras, Dewgong, Cloister all are ice types with Frost Breath/Billard comboDragonite with Steel Wing does 1.25 damage to Ice, but 0.8 against water so it evens out.Jinx with frost breath is good, but Stell Wing kills itCharizard (Fire, Flying):Double Vulnerable to RockMoltres (Fire/Flying) and Articuno (Ice, Flying) also double vulnerable to rock.Best Rock moves: Rock Throw/Stone EdgeOnly Onix, Graveler and Golem can do these twoKabutops, Dugtrio, and Rhydon can all learn Stone Edge, so that are good alternatives via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2bM05EN
