"Much more than a migration"

#PokemonGO: Today, I have noticed much much more than a simple nest migration. I've spent hours scouring map scanners etc in the past. And it seems niantic has shifted spawn patterns, increased spawns and in other places eliminated spawns.Nest shifts: Exeggcute => slowbro Charmander => jigglypuff Exeggcute => omanyte Nothing => vulpix Kabuto => voltorbNeedless to say, lots of work to do on the Atlas this weekend. This is just the start. There were 3 other nests that popped up which never existed before too. Now, I noticed the mall in our area has 2-3x the number of spawns it used to. Thinking it was a fluke, I scanned pretty much everywhere. Sure enough, several colleges in Buffalo have double the usual spawn rate. More diversity in spawns as well. In general, it seems areas where players were attracted to have benefitted the most. An absolutely massive uptick in spawn rates, bringing it closer to what I observed in other cities while traveling. Also, a new spawn point at my girlfriend's spit out a nidorina, and I noticed two others when we went on a short drive (previously rare around here).Edit: the most interesting change, however. Was in lure module mechanics at the harbor. Usually, at this location, it was just your common spawns, with a "water" module here and there. Now, out of 15 modules seen, it spawns all water Pokemon. It appears this is the intended function, as this is how lure modules in Baltimore worked near the water. But our pokestops are now "fixed" and work the same way. Possibly an improvement upon biome identification near certain bodies of water?Anyone else notice changes in spawns today? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2cy4vwb
