"Something I always wish for in future games: More recognition for being the League champion and defending your title."

In games up to now the most we get is maybe a few NPCs saying we won the league. I feel like in the Pokemon world it's kind of a big deal being the champion of your region so we should get more recognition for it.Also like every other league champ we should have to defend the title of champion. This could easily be done by having the game generate challengers. Your rival, main story as well as computer generated NPCs could all work. The more times your defend your title the tougher the challengers will become. If you lose you have to go through the Elite 4 again.
