"Strange Police Encounter while Battling PokemonGO Gym"

#PokemonGO: Last night, around 1:30 in the morning, two friends and I were taking a gym by a church on a main road when suddenly cop lights filled the car. First reaction was that it was just passing us, but then I realized it was stopped behind us. Not a problem, as we didn't have anything illegal in our car, we were just playing pokemon go. Now this was actually the second time a cop has approached us while we were taking over gyms but this was the first time someone put there lights on. Within about ten seconds five more cop SUV's come flying down the road, one parks in front of us and two block the road about 50 feet up and two block the road about 50 feet back. At first my friend who was the driver stuck his head out the window and was asking the cop who initially parked behind us, who was now standing outside his SUV, if he should leave. He thought maybe they were doing a bust of a house nearby. So the current situation is we have SIX cop SUV's one directly behind and in front of us, and four blocking both of our exits along the road with one cop just standing ten feet behind us. Now we were in the middle of taking over a gym so as we were concerned with what was happening around us we were still preoccupied with the gym. Once the cop walked a bit closer to our car and another one walked towards the front of our car, they saw that we were all playing pokemongo. Without saying a word the entire time, he walks back into his car and within another 15 seconds all of them were gone. It was one of the crazier things that happened to me playing this game.
