"I just met my nemesis"

#PokemonGO: So, little backstory, me and this one guy have been trading off a gym for about 3 weeks now. I beat it, I drive home, I check my game, it's already down, so I get back out the next day, beat it down, and he puts in another guy. For weeks. Almost every day. It's close enough if I'm going out to do something else, I can swing by and drop a dude in there on the way.I got a call from a friend that was in the one lvl 10 mystic gym near my house that it was down, someone beat it finally. The beacon of Gondor has been lit, I better get my ass over there and throw a dude in. So, I hop in, and this other gym that I've been trading off with that dude, it's in view when I'm at this gym, just at the edge of the in game map. I notice as I'm leveling this gym up that it's got a dust cloud over it, so I'm like...oh shit, this is it, he's over there right now, isn't he? I wait a few minutes, see it turn blue, see the name of him and another player I've been seeing at that gym a lot pop up into it. HA! Gotcha now, man! I sit at the gym I'm at for a few more minutes, waiting to see if he drives by to take this one, too. No sign, so I start driving, and I notice a car pass me from the direction of the other gym, and it turns into the park that gym is at. I go, beat the other gym, and then drive back, and it's a blue gym again. He's actually here. I park, I see him get out, we call each other our screennames, shake hands, and shoot the shit for about 10 minutes.Really nice guy, actually. Turns out the other name is his girlfriend and they've been driving around together. We traded off a few tips about where to find good spawn locations (he put a massive dragonite in the ex-lvl 10 Mystic gym, so he knew where to find dratinis easily), we had a laugh about how we've been trying to figure out each others' sleep schedules so we can sneak over to the gym and beat it. We both live a few blocks away from each, so they're one of our first stops when we're going on a gym run.I've heard so many horror stories on here about people getting yelled at for beating someone's gym, or people being unsportsmanlike and just all around douchey, figured you all would appreciate that two guys that have been antagonizing the shit out of each other for weeks on end met and nobody got beat up or anything.I ended up letting him keep the gym, I'll throw a guy into that one if someone else beats it down, but, maybe we can split the turf and be cool, haha via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2dHjPJP
