#PokemonGO: Heya, so if there is a Niantic community manager he/she is most certainly following up this thread so I was thinking:"why not create a post full of possible solutions/ideas on the most common complaints and to predict the choke-points in advance". This is not a rant, this is not me acting almighty...this is just me (30yr old IT Solution Architect) putting some time and neurons into trying to create a better community and, at last, a better game which we always wanted.There is a lot of smart and innovative people here so please, join in, discuss, debate, contemplate...1.evolution rewards linearity - 12 candy evo=500exp, 25 candy evo=1000exp, 50 candy evo=2000exp, 100 candy evo=4000exp.reason- to eliminate the current pidgey/weedle/caterpie farm and motivate/reward people to collect other 'mons (like Krabby or Venonat which I avoid for months) and to evolve more Butterfrees, Beedrills etc.2.stardust/candy rewards progression - catching a Squirtle should bring in X dust and 1 candy, Wartortle XY dust and 2 candy, Blastoise XY*Z dust and 3 candy.reason - why else bother catching a low cp Haunter or a Blastoise with increased catching difficulty3.cp and stardust correlation - higher cp pokemon could and should bring more stardust that their lower lvl cp variants(pidgey of 400 cp should bring more dust than pidgey of 10cp)reason - most of the people I know have a CP limit in their head for some mons above which they are not even trying...example is pidgey above 400cpetc. Also, in all fairness, if it requires more balls purely mathematically based on the cp, then it should yield more dust.4.gym debuff - per each passing day(24hr) a Team holding a gym should get a handicap; example would be -10% on CP/HP while in gymreason - to promote balance and avoid same people and same Teams holding gyms for weeks without any real effort. Look at Planetside, never can one Team "diminish" other two like it is often in some areas of p.go5.gym levels - Separate gyms per cp limits - one gym for 700 cp, other for 1400, third for 2100 and forth for 2100+.reason - imagine if Pewter gym had a Golem instead of a Geodude. Gym battling must give a sense of progression similar to dungeon/raid content in MMORPGs. With the current situation low lvl players can't acquire pokecoins. I think this is a better alternative to the gym purge (which I dislike)6.reevaluate some evolutions - to be put more bluntly, eevee should have never been a cost of 25. Also how can Gengar be the weakest of the 4 traders?reason - it's stupid to see Gengar as a punching bag while in the effort I took to create him I could have created 5 super strong eeveeolutions7.daily rewards - example would be a daily quest of "win 3 battles for 1000dust or a XX" with a bonus option "if you win with Raticate you get the bonus reward". Or "evolve 2 poison pokemons in 24hrs"; bonus "evolve bugs only". Basicaly a daily quest with a choice of 2 rewards and a bonus reward for a specific executionreason - I would like to motivate people into using different sorts of 'mons and give them a reason/chance to do a new action each day instead of the same repetitive routines8.introduce team rocket - Imagine this. Walking on the street when a message comes from your team leader saying that a pokemon has been captured (i.e. Cubone) by team rocket and your assistance is required. You arrive to the specific pokestop where the standard rocket setup waits (weezing, arbok, meowth) and according to the level of the team rocket team you can free and get the same level pokemon hostage (in this case Cubone). This would introduce a major, but currently absent, anime aspect for pokemon joining you because the want to do so.reason - adds both npc battling and pokemon capturing in one step with enhancement of the map usage. Also - in the spirit of the franchise9.item exchange - introduce exchange of items for balls and vice versa in the ratio 3:1; 3 potions for 1 pokeball or 3 ultra balls for 3 hyper potions etc.reason - to give the player an option to choose what he needs most in the current position10.contests - pokestops turned into safari zones/parks enabling us to have a bug catching contest or a top percentage rattata competitionreason - diversityOn top of the proposed above I would like to point that my biggest choke-point fear is introducing season 2 and for that I propose thinking in advance:separate eggs per gens - a specific colour for each pokemon gen and ability to swap a specific gen egg for another one (5km 1st gen for 5km 2nd gen or vice versa)reason - i can't imagine rolling a specific 5km mon after introducing several generationsdedicated days for gen spawns - increasing gen 2 spawns on one day while increasing gen 1 spawns on another dayreason - to promote diversity and enable older players to focus on new gens while newer players have equal catching chancesadd more levels while lowering the xp requirements for the previous levels - it's a common thing (as seen in WoW) where the new gen/expansion brings in more levels while the older ones are easier to achievereason - ceiling must be raised eventually but don't forget to help the casuals to catch upall the ideas had a few things in common - diversity, sustainability and immersion via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2egNvQ4
