"Niantic's endless fight against maps is ruining the game. Why aren't they MAKING a map themselves?"

#PokemonGO: Many of my friends stopped playing out of boredom since there's no real incentive to keep playing if you don't care about being the strongest in your neighborhood.The only thing that kept me and the most resilient people playing was completing the dex, and that was only possible with external mapping tools (namely fastpokemap). However, Niantic insists on making their API private and harder to reverse. They are actively killing the (free) tool that's making a lot of their theoretical income a reality.I can't think of a reason why not to make the API public or create a map with it. They have the technology on their hands, why not make it profitable and follow the ideas of Geocaching? via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2e5I8UY
