"OPINION: Same-team prestiging is SIGNIFICANTLY better in 41.2; how the game was meant to be played."

#PokemonGO: tl;dr: I tested out prestiging my team's gym over the last 1.5 hours, and I greatly feel that the 6 pokemon update and scaling greatly enhances the ease in prestiging the gym. I think scaling helps lower level players be more engaged, but by far the greatest change is having 6 pokemon fighting.Other articles are already explaining how to take optimize which pokemon and CP vs. the CP of the opponents list, so I won't comment on this. But so long as you keep a balanced team around the same level as the highest pokemon you'll be fighting with, you will be getting a TON more prestige and faster for your gym training efforts. For people who abused bubblestrat, or even using just 1 pokemon to increase 500-700 at a time, this will probably feel slower now. But I argue that this method is closest to learning how to attack gyms, and is less punishing for people who are not expert gym fighters. In the past, you could only prestige level with 1 pokemon at a time; even if you can defeat the lowest pokemon in the gym, you rarely had enough stamina and ability to fight the 2nd one, and definitely not the 3rd+. How many times have you sent your 1200 Tangela to fight a 2100 CP vaporeon and won... but had only 1/2 life left and of course could not take on the next 2200 vaporeon, etc.? Now that remaining 1/2 life on the Tangela is useful for the next fight until it faints and then you're able to move onto your next pokemon.I was gaining prestige at 1500, 2000, and 3000 chunks at a time. It was just simply easier and more satisfying. And my wife, who isn't a great battler, is not punished by only having 1 pokemon and 1 chance to prestige. Nothing sucks more than using a 1300 Flareon against a 1700 Exeggutor, missed dodging the Solar Beam and getting 0 prestige gained. Now she has many more chances to get a few pokemon down and add at least a thousand prestige. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2eoS62I
