"[Results] What I.V.% a Pokemon needs, so that it's worth evolving (based on candy efficiency)"

#PokemonGO: Hey guys, first "research" post for me here! Reason for the research:My area is full of Drowzee and Clefairy, so much so that they are my main source of XP during Lucky Eggs sprees.I wanted to know which Pokemon I should keep and which I should trade based on their IVs.The plan is to sacrifice the evolutions that ended up with bad movesets in battle, before transferring them at low hp - and to keep the ones with good movesets for battling and training. Results:Here are my results. The results should be read as: "For an evolution that requires 12 candies, you should evolve 6.7% of your pokemon with IVs of 25/45 (corresponding to 55.6% IV perfection). Any Pokemon with IV higher than that should be evolved as well."The first part should read as: "For an evolution that requires 12 candies, after catching 11 Pokemon you can evolve exactly 4 of them while transferring the rest. This means that you can evolve one every 2.75 catches."The second part should read as: "For an evolution that requires 12 candies, I have simulated the IVs of 13750 catches. Since I can evolve exactly one every 2.75, of the 13750 caught I can evolve the top 5000."Practically, now I know that I should keep almost every Drowzee or Clefairy that scores 75.6%+ for my evolution spree. [Specifically, every one that has 35+ IV, and 79.9% -or 4 out of 5- that have 34 IV.]Interesting to note that, statistically, every Pokemon in a 124-candies evolution chain is worth evolving if it's appraised as tier1 (IV%>=82.2%). Assumptions (from more impactful to less impactful):all final evolutions are transferred back for 1 candyno interference from eggsintermediate evolutions caught are always transferred, never evolvedyou start with 0 specimens EDIT: Well, my post and all my replies are being downvoted, so this might as well be my last research... :/EDIT2: I've clarified as much as I can. torlesse's comment might help as well. EDIT3: calculated 25 and 400 EVOs.For Eevee (12 candies evolution), you should evolve 11.4% of your pokemon with IVs of 30/45 (corresponding to 66.7% IV perfection). Any Pokemon with IV higher than that should be evolved as well. For Gyarados (400 candies evolution), you should evolve 23.7% of your pokemon with IVs of 40/45 (corresponding to 88.9% IV perfection). Any Pokemon with IV higher than that should be evolved as well. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2dm0XQO
