"Single-Type Gyms or Another way to shake up the Gym meta"

#PokemonGO: So, I've been seeing a lot of suggestions lately that try to address "gym stagnation" and propose different ways of shaking things up. From changes to pokemon stats/moves that try and make a wider range of pokemon useful to changes in incentives and gym mechanics. I thought I'd add my 2 cents to the discussion.I've always felt that the gym experience in Pokemon Go to be very different from the old games. I'd love to see it brought more in line with the single-type gyms that we saw in the originals by offering some sort of bonus for a certain type in a given Gym. Say a Gym in the middle of a park could give a bonus to Grass or Bug type pokemon defending that gym, a Gym near a lake offering a bonus to water types, etc...This bonus could be for instance a boost in the stats of the defending pokemon if it was the right type which would in turn raise it's CP and maybe make it place higher than non-correct type defending pokemons. Alternatively it could be just a priority over non-correct types in the order of defenders or an additional multiplicative bonus for attacks of the right type.I feel like this would be a nice way to start seeing a wider variety at gyms and to add some flavour of the original games back into Pokemon Go. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2d4bcqN
