"Successful dodge, still got full damage, then hp returned...watch out"

#PokemonGO: So bringing your best 6 against another teams level8 gym...every bit of hp counts. I've become good enough at dodges to get past just about every hyperbeam, hydropump, solarbeam. The problem is if you're low on hp, but still know a dodge damage hydropump won't kill you. Here comes hydropump, successful dodge...but it still takes full damage! You get knocked out, and the computer brings up you next pokemon, who happens to be low on hp! Oh no! But then the server decides hey, wait that was a successful dodge! Give that hp back! So it does, and tries to return your previous pokemon to battle. Yikes. What usually happens for me is ill have an invisible pokemon battling until the server decides to catch up.So just to get around this, If you know a big charge move is coming, switch out to someone who has enough hp to survive a full hit. If you're down to your last pokemon, and everyone is already low on hp...then just switch to a sacrifice pokemon and revive. My goal in battles is to finish with every fighter very low on hp. That way when I use max and hypers, I feel like I'm getting the full use of the potions. Healing a pokemon missing only 100 hp with a hyper bothers me, because I have a hard time keeping inventory full. Low hp pokemon are at risk to get knocked even on successful dodges.Hope this helps someone via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2doxid0
