#PokemonGO: I've had some major issues with snipers recently (who hasn't tbh), but today was probably the first and last time I confront somebody about it.I was in central London and saw that a nearby gym was looking pretty low, so I thought I'd bump it a level and put in a guy, as you do. I was already having GPS issues and my trainer wasn't going anywhere near the exact spot I was standing, but I eventually got it and battled on. Somebody started battling against the gym as I was working on it, but I guess they got bored because they only knocked it down a few hundred CP, but it slowed me down.Just as I knew I must have levelled up, I got the Error Message Of Death as my GPS flipped. My guy was standing a block away as the gym's build-up animation kicked in. THEN an egg hatched (fucking Rattata if you can believe it). While this was going on, a kid aged about 16/17 walked up with his dad and little brother. I saw he had the app open and I assumed he was going to battle it as he was looking through his list of Pokémon, then when my game got its shit together I saw the gym: lvl 7, no new slots available, a new Cloyster in the rankings.Before they walked away he glanced over at me. He looked surprised and pleased to see somebody else still playing. But all I could say was "I've been working on that for 20 minutes, so thanks". His face before we both walked away made me instantly regret it.This isn't how this fucking game is supposed to go. We're supposed to be excited when we see fellow Trainers, right? Not get arsey about Gym spots. He probably didn't even know that something like that is considered poor form in the game, and was just having a good time out with his family. I immediately felt like the asshole obsessive Uber Gamer I've never wanted to be.So in the unlikely event you're out there dude, I apologise; and hopefully we both learned something.
