"PSA: 5 of the most important things you need to know about the San Fran Tracker, how it scans, and how to use it to track rare Pokemon nests"
#PokemonGO: Video for those too lazy to read: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFmcjnU-Yc0Okay, I've been researching the mechanics behind the San Fran Tracker. Here are the most important things to know:1) Two players will get the same results if standing at the same place (assuming they have not caught any of the pokemon), sometimes you will get differences, this is due to your phone's GPS pinpointing your location)2) Prioritizes finding rare pokemon! I have found that even though both a pidgey and rattata spawn at a stop, it always shows me the scyther at that spot first3) Really good for tracking down rare pokemon nests, and it prioritizes the rare pokemon spawns (see image below), so go to community centers / parks in your area, and use the tracker to see if rare nest spawns show up4) When it says the pokemon fled, this doesn't mean that it actually has, sometimes, its because you walked slightly out of the scanning radius, and it has instead scanned a closer pokestop to you5) Scanning is based on the 4-5 pokestops that are closest to youLink to scanning radius of new San Fran tracker, and breaking down my tracker results : http://ift.tt/2fcOMZp via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2gqToIG
