"With winter just around the corner, Niantic should really consider lifting the 10.5km/h restriction"

#PokemonGO: As much as I would like to keep up my daily Pokémon Go routine, yesterday after slowly biking for two hours on a straight line, while freezing off my extremities and registering only 6km (I was moving at around ~10km/h), I realised that it's going to be impossible.I can just stand the cold weather when I'm jogging, running or biking, since the body generates enough warmth and blood flow to compensate for the freezing temperatures. But when the game encourages a normal walking speed or less, casual players will lose their motivation and hardcore players will freeze to death. Also, combined with the lack of a proper tracker, winter makes looking for nearby Pokémon really not worthwhile anymore.I'm sure Niantic doesn't want to read "Pokémon Go player died due to hypothermia" in the papers. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2fnGui0
