"[discussion] Accounts advertised for sale"

#PokemonGO: Maybe I'm just being naive here... Last night I saw an advert for a Pogo Plus on a well known website. I looked at my local site, found the Plus but also found 20 or so accounts for sale. Reported to Niantic. This morning I decided to look on other country versions of the same site and yep, they are there too. It seems to me that this must really encourage spoofers. It begs lots of questions... Does Niantic take any action in these cases? Is the site acting illegally in offering the accounts for sale? Would they offer a refund if anyone bought an account that immediately got banned? Some of the ads even offer 7 day guarantees! Do people even buy these accounts? Would the site refuse a refund because the customer had bought something that was for sale against the TOS of the game if it 'didn't work' ? Would the site remove the item if it were reported to them? AM I just being naive and is this something that we legitimate players just have to live with? Anyone interested in discussing this, if it's appropriate here? Whilst I'm here, great news on the improvement in Sightings (mostly rural player, this was the first thing I've ever complained about) and gym changes! Apologies if this appears as a long wall of text, am trying on my phone.. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2gTZbXO
