#PokemonGO: So Niantic said event will start in the morning of the 25th PST. Since the latest update, day and night cycles on Pokémon Go is synchronized to local exact sunrise / sundown time.So San Francisco (PST time and where Niantic is located) sunrise is 07:23hs local time. That's 15:23h UTC time (in about 4 hours from this post date)EDIT 1: I think the reason why the event didn't start on everyone local time is because there's a few surprises involving the gift boxes and starting in the whole world at same time won't spoil the surprise to others.EDIT 2: Niantic probably is referring to "morning" as in "ingame morning", so when the sun rises in Pokémon go. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hoxCsP
