"Generational Mega-Migrations"

#PokemonGO: I've seen a lot of ideas for adding more generations into the game without diluting the pool of available Pokémon, but many of them end up making the game too easy (huge number of spawns to keep availability of individual pokemon from all generations high), or fracture the experience (allow players to choose which generation spawns). I'm not sure if the following (or something similar) has already been posted/discussed, but I thought it might resolve those issues nicely:Initially introduce each new generation globally in a unified way. After that generation has been out for a while and the initial novelty has decreased, segregate Pokémon spawns according to region (e.g. Kanto in Asia, Hoenn in North America, etc.), and have mega-migrations every 3 months or so to completely change the Pokémon in a region, like an amped-up version of the current nest migrations. This would keep the experience unified for groups of players (everyone sees the same Pokémon), would give more substantial geographical variation to the game (beyond Mr. Mime, Tauros, biome differences, etc.), and could also generate a lot of excitement and interest when these mega-migrations occur. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hVak9N
