"Has anyone else experienced a substantial amount of lag since the 12th?"

#PokemonGO: Since the announcement was made and the new pokemon were introduced my game has been running at a painful frame rate. Throwing balls at pokemon is painful to watch as the ball stutters around in the air before (maybe) landing on the mon. I'm playing the game on an iphone 5 and have restarted it and cleared my memory cache multiple times and still no fix to the frame rate.
