"How do you stay motivated to play when everyone around you cheats?"

#PokemonGO: So for awhile, my son and I were faced with 1 regular spoofer and there were others that we had suspicions, but no concrete proof. There's a mr and mrs couple, we recently nailed them down because not only does he have a kangaskhan, she has a mr mime. We see them in local gyms every day, so, there's no way either of them are traveling the world legitimately. Aside from that, even if we give them the benefit of the doubt that they got those pokes by taking vacations, we will beat a gym in an area where there's no one and they'll immediately kick us out.Tonight, we tried to get a few gyms so we could claim, but every time we beat one, a different guy and his friends would kick us out. Again, we would go from gym to gym, and be the only people around. We'd beat it and wait. 30 seconds later, attack animation and the same guys would pop up in the gym. Drive to the next location, rinse and repeat. They wouldn't let us hold a gym for more than 30 seconds. It was night in a small town, so there's not a lot of traffic and you would notice a car following you, pulling up by you, etc. We sat all alone where there was no one but us and magic people attacking the gym next to us that we'd just taken over.This has been happening to us constantly now. I've written to niantic, my son has. We send screen caps of the people, stories, pictures of the area where there's no one but us and they still just keep playing. Nothing is done to them.So when you are faced with this kind of situation, what keeps you playing? Because I'm really wondering why I'm sitting on the side of the road in 8 degree weather freezing, while they just spoof in and fight the gym from where ever they are. I have a lot of time, money and effort invested in this game, but it's becoming unplayable for me because of all the cheaters. Claiming gyms for the stardust is about all that kept it interesting in my sea of weedles, pidgeys and nidorans.. so I need some reasons to keep going.
