"[Idea] My idea on how and when Gen. 2 Pokémon wil be fully released."

#PokemonGO: When I first read the announcement I was shocked that it said 'These are the first of more Pokémon coming to Pokémon GO over the next few months.' I thought a few months is way to long, but now that I thought about it, it makes perfect sense. Why? Here is why. Niantic don't want you to fill up the Johto-Pokedex in like 2 weeks and lets be honest that is exactly what would happen if they release it all in one go (at least for some players). Also some players would complain that they don't have filled up their Kanto-Dex yet. So they release Gen. 2 in small chunks, starting with the Baby Pokémon. For now we have 8 out of 100 new Pokémon (including legendaries).Since Niantic plans to update the game every 2 weeks, I think that is the same span of time they will release new Pokémon (maybe it doens't happen with the update but 2 weeks after the date the Baby Pokémon were released). So I think on the 26th (or maybe some days prior) there will be new Gen. 2 Pokémon. It's Christmas so the gifts are new starters. Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile (+ their evolutions will start to appear). Also Delibird should be thrown in the mix because it fits perfectly. Delibird should have an increased spawn rate during christmas and should then get pretty rare. This could be repeated every christmas. So there are now 18 Gen. 2 Pokémon of 100.After 2 more weeks (early January) Professor Willow will discover that with the appearance of the new Pokémon better known Pokémon start to evolve in to new kinds of Pokémon. Say hello to Crobat, Bellossom, Politoed, Slowking, Steelix, Scizor, Kingdra, Porygon2 and Blissey. (27 out of 100 new Pokémon).Another 2 weeks go by (late January) and Professor Willow will inform you that a whole new type of Pokémon start to appear the dark type. This will introduce Murkrow, Sneasel, Houndour, Houndoom. Professor Willow will also discover that some Pokémon spawn at day and others at night (for example Houndor - Growlithe or later Pidgey - Hoothoot) and 2 new evolution forms for Eevee - Espeon and Umbreon. We are now at 33 out of 100 new Pokémon.The last update will be in early February releasing the rest of Gen. 2 Pokémon to finally include every new Pokémon excluding the legendaries.This would fit the statement 'over the next few months' great and would be good way to implement Gen. 2 without killing the hype too early or make it too fast to fill up the Johto-Pokedex. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2hAlhSb
