"It shouldn't be possible for pokemon to start an attack animation AFTER you've thrown a pokeball"

#PokemonGO: Seriously, this is just awful design. There's no fun or challenge to it. It's not like you mistimed a throw and they were mid-attack. If the ball is in mid-air and they start an attack animation, you just got that ball deleted from existence through no fault of your own. It's just pointless RNG on top of an already RNG-heavy system, and it feels bad to lose items for no reason. Don't get me wrong, if you throw the ball while they're actively attacking and the animation isn't done by the time you hit them, that's you misplaying and the ball should be removed as a penalty. But having the attack happen after the throw is just a downer for no good reason whatsoever. At the very least, they should change the animation such that if this scenario occurs, the pokemon hits the ball back at your screen (hell, you could even add a goofy camera cracking effect and screen shake. It'd be funny!) and you get the ball returned to you. I'd actually love that. But alas, instead we just get a "nope. screw you!" moment that leaves a sour taste in our mouths. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2fDBRzO
