"[Spoiler] Theory on Ultra Beasts I've had for awhile"

While playing through the UB missions, I've come to realize something: The seven Ultra Beasts represent the Seven Deadly Sins. It's probably not intentional, but I find it pretty interesting.Xurkitree: GreedXurkitree's Pokedex entry states that it discharges massive electric shocks and then steals electricity from power plants. Its need for electricity is never satisfied; it always wants more.Guzzlord: GluttonyCome on, do I really have to explain this? It devours everything it sees. Heck, its code name is "UB-05 Glutton".Kartana: SlothThis one may seem surprising since Kartana has so much killing potential. But its Pokedex entry states that "It seems not to attack enemies on its own, but its sharp body is a dangerous weapon in itself". In other words, it just lets enemies get sliced apart by its body instead of actively attacking them.Nihilego: WrathHow can a jellyfish represent wrath? It doesn't. At least not directly. But its Pokedex entry states that people infested by it tend to become violent, meaning it forces feelings of anger onto people. Wicke elaborates on this, saying that its neurotoxin forces you to madly go after your ambitions, a frenzy that can also be seen as a form of wrath.Celesteela: EnvyI'll admit that this one's a stretch. But it allegedly burns down forests using its two arms... why, exactly? Because Ultra Space doesn't have beautiful forests like in the Pokemon world. Thus, it's trying to destroy what it can't have, a textbook form of malign envy. The number of draining moves in its learnset can also be thought of it stealing health from others, again motivated by it envying their health.Pheromosa: LustAnother one that should need minimal explanation. Its code name is "UB-02: Beauty", and it produces pheromones that can infatuate all sentient beings. Seems pretty clear to me.Buzzwole: PrideBuzzwole is basically the Pokemon version of a bodybuilder (complete with its name containing "swole"!). It has huge muscles and shows them off all the time, and while the Pokedex says it's unclear whether this is a boast or a threat, it's still fairly obvious that Buzzwole has a big ego. EDIT: As wer8888 pointed out, Buzzwole also shows off its muscles in Pokemon Refresh. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2gDMfHm
