"Need photos and screenshots for Master's thesis"
#PokemonGO: TL;DR: I need specific photos and screenshots (listed below) for use in my thesis. Pictures can be posted here or sent to me either via PM or by e-mail: athrenax[at]gmail.comEdit: As some people have been asking, these are pictures that I for various reasons have not been able to take myself (I honestly have not encountered anything bigger than a Squirtle or Geodude in crowded places, and I can't get the warnings to show anymore). They are for illustrative purposes and not necessary for the paper, but would help it look better and be easier to read for someone unfamiliar with the topic.Edit 2: Got a lot of the photos so far, thank you again for all your submissions! /u/chaoticgoblin, /u/gooseisme, /u/Tree_climber11, /u/lazy_panda42, /u/Samerz360 and /u/lookseeseenHi folks! You may (or may not) remember me as the guy who posted a huge survey to collect results for his Master's thesis on Pokémon GO, its success factors and its health effects. Well, my thesis is due on Sunday (I'll post it when it has been published in my university's registry), and I want to spice it up a little with some pictures. I definitely should have done this before, but I'm hoping you guys and gals on here could help me out a little.I'm looking for some specific types of photos and screenshots that I will list below, that I can freely use in the thesis. They don't have to be your own, but I do need to know that they are licensed for free use for any purpose, and watermark free. I'm not trying to make any money off them, but I want to be absolutely certain I can use them. Unfortunately I can not offer you anything in return besides my sincere gratitude and a mention in the thesis if the pictures are your own, and a digital copy of the final thesis when it has been graded and published. The pictures I need are as follows:Photos of people playing Pokémon GO, preferably multiple people together. I want one of these as the front page photo, and it should be obvious that at least some of them are playing.Screenshots or pictures of rare, large or menacing Pokémon (e.g. Charizard, Blastoise, Onix, Kabutops) in crowds, either using the in-game AR mode or an artistic imagination. This is to illustrate the absurdity of these big scary Pokémon appearing in crowded places but not in rural areas. I've gotten some, but if anyone has ones with one of the mentioned menacing Pokémon in a very crowded place such as the Santa Monica Pier, they'd be perfectScreenshots of the different in-game warnings. I need to show the two "Don't play Pokémon and drive" warnings (the one that sometimes shows (showed? can't seem to get it anymore) at startup, and the "I'm a passenger" one, as well as the "Don't enter dangerous areas" one.Screenshot of a regular Pokéstop spin. I can get this one myself, but if anyone has one lying around or can easily get one, I'd love to have it. It takes me 20 minutes each way to get to my nearest Pokéstop, and another 5-10 minutes to the next, so you'd save me some trouble!Screenshot of a 7-day Pokéstop streak spin with a bunch of items all over the screen. I actually have one of my own already, but the items are all clumped up, so if anyone has one where they aren't, that'd be great!Bonus pictures I need that are related but not actually from Pokémon GO:Screenshot of Ingress in a location with multiple portals, fields etc. I don't really have a location like this available, and just want to illustrate what Ingress looks like in the areas where it's played.Pictures of locations of Geocaches, good hiding spots etc. I want to show off some of the challenge with Geocaching.Someone riding on a hoverboard. I'm sure there are some of these on one of the free stock photo sites, but I haven't found one yet, so again, if you have one, feel free to share! The list(s) may be edited if I think of more pictures I need, so if you have a lot of good pictures that you want to share, feel free to check back during the weekend, or just share your pictures anyway! Pictures can be posted here or sent to me by e-mail: athrenax@gmail.comPS! I will/have also post/ed this on /r/pokemongo via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2jxDgXt
