"Is there a reason why Mareep is so rare?"
#PokemonGO: There are no nests for it and the general consensus is that their spawn patterns are similar to Dratini and Larvitar, yet there's no reason for it. They only hatch from 10km eggs as well. At least for Dratini/Larvitar it makes sense because Dragonite/Tyranitar are the two most powerful Pokemon in the game (CP wise) right now, and both have base stat totals of 600 in the games. But Ampharos...? It has a max CP of 2695. That's lower than Donphan, Ursaring, Kingler, Exeggutor, Arcanine, Flareon, the list goes on.I'm aware that there are some really weak Pokemon that are super hard to get as well, but most of them have like niches or popular (regional Pokes like Mr. Mime for example). But for Ampharos, it's like Niantic is treating it like a pseudo-legendary or something, in the same vein as DNite/TTar, when it's clearly not. It's not even that popular worldwide. It never had any major appearances in any Pokemon movie or game. I have friends who played the Gen 2 games on the Gameboy and don't even remember Mareep/Flaaffy/Ampharos existed before Pokemon Go.So what am I missing guys? Why do you guys think Niantic made a common, average Pokemon like Mareep so hard to obtain? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2mtuJ8v
