"[opinion] casual players are the healthiest things for gyms"

#PokemonGO: I can't find a thread pointing this out, but since gen 2 launch, I've been having the most fun in gyms since the summer. A lot of the more casual players started playing again (nice weather also certainly has helped this), and it's made gyms more than a grind. For the past months, myself and I'm sure many of you have been building up a strong set of attackers, defenders, and prestigers against the normal snorlax, eggs, dnites and others. However, none of this can help you against what casual players do. Instead of planning out prestigers, it's turned into quick improvising of what to use.Random things such as 1200 pinsirs ,1500 muks, or 1000 arbocs are showing up in the gyms and how do you prestige against that? Of course I don't have ~600cp prestigers, so I'm forced to use random attackers to defeat them (Growlithe is apparently really good). While this doesn't change how I collect, it's very refreshing to have to use a wide variety of mons attacking; something in general that hasn't been the case.Tl;dr- appreciate the casuals! They don't change what's good in the meta, but they're wild cards that make things feel new. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2kUBB21
