"Barring an increased Pokémon storage, we're about to enter the last phase of the game in which a true, complete living pokedex will be possible"
#PokemonGO: Through gen II, there are 251 Pokémon. Eleven legendaries(Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mew, Mewtwo, Raikou, Entei, Suicine, Lugia, Ho'oh and Celebi) and two unreleased (Delibird and Smeargle). That gives us 238 pokemon for a complete pokedex. However, each Pokémon (for the most part) has two genders, and can be shiny. This means there can be up to 4 of each Pokémon you'd need to carry in order to have a true, complete living pokedex. The max storage is 1000. 238 Pokémon at 4 specimen a piece, is 952 Pokémon. 10 (Magnemite, Magneton, Ditto, Porygon, Porygon2, Voltorb, Electrode, Unown, Starmie and Staryu) of these are genderless, 6 (Nidoran, Nidorino, Nidoking, Hotmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Tyrogue, and Tauros) are male only, and 7 (Nidoran, Nidorina, Nidoqueen, Chansey, Blissey, and Kangashkan)are female only. With these 23 only requiring two specimen to collect, our total drops by 46, to 906. However, we're only accounting for 2 forms of Unown, when in actuality, there are 52 (one of each alphabetical letter in regular and shiny). This brings our total back up to 958.So with potentially 958 Pokémon to hold onto for a true, complete living pokedex (assuming the advent of shiny magikarp/gyarados means that all shiny Pokémon will become available before any other new Pokémon are released) we're fast approaching a point where the maximum storage is insufficient. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2o7PCKQ
