"John Hanke shares: 3 "major" updates to Pokemon GO are on the map for this coming year."
#PokemonGO: Well travelers,Right at the end of John Hanke's session, he dropped some good news bombs on us!First off, we were happy to hear he referred to the launch of Gen 2 as the "first major update" to Pokemon GO. Thereby classifying all the other updates as smaller, non-major additions. Most travelers on the Road feel the same way, so it's good to see Niantic recognized how Gen 2 and the new mechanics that came with it were a big deal for the game.More excitingly, however, he mentioned that there are 3 major updates planned for the game this year. We're on week 9 of this year. There are 43 more weeks, which means if these updates were to be spaced out equally, we'd see a "major update" every 12-14 weeks. Our hunch, based on prior statements, is that these will include PvP and potentially a gym system improvement/overhaul. Our sources tell us Trading is not top priority right now (thankfully) as other issues are taking precedence. We're beyond excited to see where this game goes over the next year. Can't wait to explore it all with you. Settle in for the long haul. We've got a lot to look forward to, travelers.- Executive Dronpes - via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2lvslOf
