#PokemonGO: I was walking up Annie St. towards Market when the thief ran up from behind me and snatched my phone. I gave chase, yelled out for people to stop him. It was was pretty cool, ton of people around me mobilized to stop the phone thief. A bunch of people on Market turned around and prepared to trip/tackle him. He saw them and cut left to run across Market St. towards the 1 Post St. building. From there, a security guard for 1 Post St. grabbed the robber, but couldn't hold on. Then two bike messengers that were hanging out at Mckesson Plaza gave chase and eventually retrieved my phone.Robber still got away, but his face and the scuffle are all over surveillance cameras along the escape route. Saw some of the footage, but, buildings would only release it to the police.When I filed my police report, the officer I spoke with had a good laugh about it, said those same bike messengers that hang out at 1 Post St. pretty much saved him last week.
