"Some interesting patterns throughout the generations"

Over the years I've noticed several small, interesting patterns throughout the Pokemon games. 1. Even Gens feature cross generational evolutions: II had 19, IV had 29, and VI only had one which is still more than V and VII but most importantly it introduced a ton of Mega Evolutions2: Odd numbered gens always introduce a 2 stage Crab pokemonI: Krabby/Kingler III: Corpfish/Crawdaunt (Not a crab technically but close enough) V: Dwebble/Crustle VII: Crabawler/CrabominableOdd Gens also introduce a two stage, blob shaped pure poison typeI: Grimer/Muk III: Gulpin/Swalot V: Trubbish/Garbodor VII: Unfortunately breaks this a bit, but it does introduce Alolan Grimer/Muk which almost countsWhat patterns have you noticed in the generations? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2pHCM3k
