"What a day it has been!"
#PokemonGO: So today, I went on a walk with my girlfriend by the beach, something we've been doing a lot recently ever since I got kinda close to finishing the Generation 1 North American Pokedex. I was excited to hatch a 10km egg on this walk because the last Pokémon I needed to finish was Aerodactyl, which has been kind of my white whale (found one in the wild about a week after launch, but it ran away. Been trying to find/hatch one ever since). So I got to hatch my egg, and I got a Chansey. Mildly pleased as I need a lot of candies for Blissey still, but obviously not what I wanted. Continued on the walk and I start freaking out because I see an Aerodactyl shadow at the next Pokestop. Girlfriend says I can run there which I didn't even think of (she's so great), so I take off. As I'm approaching the stop, the phone buzzes and says it fled. I kept positive and kept running all the way to the stop and he appears!!! One ultra ball and a razz berry later, and I'm finally done with Generation 1! I was elated. And then to top it all off, on our way home from the grocery store, BAM there's a wild Skarmory, another 10km egg Pokémon that I didn't have yet. Moral of the story is, this game can have a lot of lows(checking 30 times a day at my apartment only to find the same Pokémon I don't need), but they make the highs goddamn worth it. :)TL;DR: After not getting the last Pokémon I needed to finish the Gen 1 regional dex, I happened to find it minutes later in the wild at the next pokestop. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2r7P3PR
