"1-level raids now will be ghost-gyms for duration of the raid. If made free - they would be a great spot for organize a group to go for higher-level raids"
#PokemonGO: After my last post on slightly different subject I thought about a cool way to organize players in real life by the game itself. If 1-level raids with magikarps etc would be free, then they could attract local players to one location. There will be small enough incentive to do these raids - few items and low-level pokemon as a reward. People would go for these raids, meet up, and then they could decide to go further together to spend their passes and coins on a higher level raid that is only doable by 3-5 players (and spend money they wouldn't without a group). For me the biggest issue with raids is that I don't have a way to "summon" other trainers now and I am not able to do raids because of it. It there would be a "first sample for free" then players would be more motivated to spend money later.I don't think there would be a loss for Niantic there - almost nobody will bother to use their one free pass and coins for 1-level raid anyway and it's easier to buy coins in the heat of the moment with other players than when you're playing alone. In current situation I am sure that the areas with 1-level raids will be deserted for duration of the raid when gym goes offline. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2s43vwh
