"Big 6 Gym Tanks — Chart"
#PokemonGO: Chart: http://ift.tt/2sYRCrl: Chart is based on Tankiness only (HP*Defense). 4x weaknesses and Legendaries are excludedSo, as we know — or can assume from the information that has been currently given — the new Gym system won't rely on CP for placement. This closes doors for some of the former Big 7 Gym Defenders and opens up doors for some new defenders with high HP and Defense stats. Presumably.I've been doing some calculations and have come up with a new Big 6 Gym Tanks, based on the Pokémon's tankiness (HP*Defense). The obvious and undisputed number one is still Blissey, but there are some new players which will presumably (this is all speculative of course) make their way into many Gyms. Now, this chart only relies on tankiness. The Attack stat of the Pokémon matters of course, but was not taken into consideration for this list.Furthermore, any Pokémon with 4x weaknesses were left out, which kicks out a few big players from before.Last, since there was code found in the APK which could possible exclude Legendaries from being placed in Gyms, these Legendaries are excluded in the final chart as well. Some of these also have 4x weaknesses so wouldn't be good choices anyway.Again, this is all speculative, but since it's based on their base stats, it could be pretty accurate. So, the new Big 6 could be:PokémonHPDefenseTankiness in %Blissey510229100%Snorlax32019052%Steelix15033343%Umbreon19025041%Lapras26018040%Vaporeon26017739%The 'Tankiness in %' is relative to number one Blissey, so number two Snorlax has 52% the Tankiness of Blissey. As we can see, Blissey, Snorlax and Vaporeon are still very good defenders, but new to the big players are Steelix, Umbreon and the big return of Lapras. Some very good alternatives to these Big 6:PokémonHPDefenseTankiness in %Chansey*50017675%Wobbuffet38010634%Miltank19021134%Muk21018433%Donphan18021433%Tentacruel16023732%Slowbro/Slowking19019432%Hypno17021531%Lanturn25014631%Noctowl20017931%Kangaskhan21016530%Politoed18019230%Skarmory13026029%Poliwrath18018729%Some of these are really easy to get, so they will probably been seen a lot in gyms as well.Edit: Chansey is actually the second best tank in the game, but not included because of the presence of Blissey.Goodbye DragoniteDragonite doesn't even make it in the Top 20, but considering it has 4x weakness against Ice-types, he won't make much of a defender in the new system. His high CP will even make him lose Motivation faster, so not a good choice at all. Just as:PokémonHPDefenseTankiness in %4x weaknessesRhydon21020637%Grass, WaterTyranitar20021236%FightingGyarados19019732%ElectricGolem16022931%Grass, WaterDragonite18220131%IceForretress15024231%FireSome members of the former Big 7 would be bad choices in the new system, despite their high tankiness, but because of their high CP and 4x weaknesses.I've compiled all these calculations into a sheet, but made a Chart of the best Tanks right here. Please, if any or all of my calculations are totally off, do tell!Edit: Fixed some wrong data and added an updated chart image.Edit 2: Added an updated chart image. Snorlax' Attack stat fixed. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2sUFFlK
