"[Complaint] Niantic, please populate the suburban and rural areas."

#PokemonGO: I know everyone is super excited for the update. I really am, too. However, this spike in player interest and game population provides a great time to discuss one of the biggest issues faced by players like myself in the suburbs or rural areas: world emptiness. I live just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, in a very popular suburb. But here's a few screenshots of the large area around me (360 degrees) To be clear, the world feels (and is) just as empty today as it did when the game first launched for some of us. There are zero pokestops, poke gyms, or sometimes even pokemon within a large distance of my house. These aren't carefully positioned screenshots, either--they stretch on like this in every direction for quite a while. Niantic promised suburban players would see more activity, but many of us haven't. I'd have to drive to distant places to see Pokémon, which I'm pretty sure is contrary to the ideal of players walking around while playing and exploring. I'd love to explore the world of Pokémon Go.. if there was anything near me to explore. Niantic, if any of your helpful employees see this, please continue populating the map and world so players who are in the suburbs and more rural areas (I'm in a popular suburb outside a huge city, so it's weird the Pokémon world is so dead here) can enjoy Pokémon Go just as much as players in cities can. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2tLWzQC
