"Is it risky to save stardust and candy before the update?"

#PokemonGO: I see frequent comments recommending saving stardust before updates.I wonder if the opposite is true.Feeding pokemon stardust and candy to strengthen them always seemed to be a strange game mechanic to me.I don't recall Ash or Brock ever feeding pokemon stardust in the TV series, and in previous games stardust played a minor role.If the new gym mechanic means that pokemon improve by battling instead of stardust --- might this be the last chance way to power up the easy old way? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2rfx20B
