"Raid Tips for when the raid timer is your opponent"

#PokemonGO: Completing a raid with 15-20 people is always a blast, however we know that with those numbers, the raid boss and timer are never really much of a challenge. Those experiences are more social vs being a game challenge.I wanted to post some general tips that I use when either attempting to solo a tier 3 raid or when taking town a tier 4 raid with very limited numbers. The main opponent in these situation is the raid clock. These are not new tips, as most are well known, however I wanted to include the ones I use all in one place.1) Organize a specific time to meet at the raid for you and your crew so your not standing around just hoping people show up. Please ensure your phone clock is set to auto.2) Arrive early enough to allow yourself at least 3 attempts at the raid boss should you time out. Remember to restart the game between each attempt.3) Know which attackers you plan to use before going into the lobby. 30 seconds left prior to the raid is not the best time to try to scramble on who the best counters are. Have your team prepared in your mind. Think high DPS however a couple more tanky mon wont hurt (think Tyranitar or Dragonite as 6 Alakazams may not make it).4) Try to identify if a couple additional power ups pre battle may put you over the edge. Maxing out mons urgently pre battle is often a mistake and misuse of precious resources, but if you feel time is going to be tight, a power up or two may be the difference.5) Start with your highest DPS glass cannon. At the beginning of the battle the raid bosses charge move will be as empty as it will get, so you will have the most opportunity to do damage with that mon instead of walking into a charge move after a previous mon has fainted.6) Not dodging can be a solid strategy but often a dodge or two during battle will be the difference. If you feel you cannot get off another charge move then just take the hit and let your next mon start fresh, however if you feel a dodge will allow for one more charge move then it may be worth it once or twice during battle (don't over dodge however as we are talking clock here).7) Assess your progress at 90 seconds. Hopefully at this point your in the yellow. If not, then don't dodge any further. If your not close to the yellow, consider quiting and regrouping to save potions. Be aware even further at this point if you stacked all your highest DPS up front.8) Do not switch between attackers, this takes precious time when you need every second. By setting your ideal lineup ahead of time, there will be no need to switch during battle.9) Spam to the bitter end, often the last change move with 2 seconds left can cause the faint before time runs out.Bonus - Never bring Blissey to these types of battles (or really any to be honest unless you have no revives). Your costing yourself time and extra balls due to lack of damage output. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2u9LCvR
