"Has Niantic confirmed if the reset of the Damage ball bonus after re-joining a raid is intended?"

#PokemonGO: I've seen a couple threads/comments recently on "anchors", and has of course been a consideration of my own in raids. Many of these considerations would be a moot point and/or trivial if you could simply re-join a raid without losing all of your damage contribution.
